Six Flags
Astroworld/Six Flags Waterworld
The largest theme park in South Texas has the largest variety of roller
coaster rides in the United States. In addition to exciting shows and
aquatic adventures, Waterworld is like an amusement park in the water.
The Texas Medical
Center
The largest Medical Center in the world is home to some of the most
prominent and well-respected physicians in the world. Students are able to
take tours, witnessing actual surgeries.
The Astrodome
Labeled the "Eighth Wonder of the World," this complex is the
home of the World's Largest Rodeo and hosts world-class concerts and
sporting events year-round.
Battleship Texas
and the San Jacinto Monument
Built in 1914, the Battleship Texas is the world's last remaining
dreadnought. She fought in both World Wars before being given to the State
of Texas in 1948. She is docked next to the "San Jacinto
Monument," which commerates Texas' battle for independence.
