The school is located on the campus of  the University of Southern Colorado (USC).

USC is approved to grant the following degrees: Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts, as well as bachelor's degrees in business administration, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, civil engineering technology, mechanical engineering, metallurgical engineering technology, and nursing; Master of Arts in Systems Engineering; Master of Business Administration.

When English students reach levels 5 and 6, they may take classes at the University of Southern Colorado for credit while concurrently studying English full-time.

THE LOCAL AREA

Pueblo, Colorado, is located about two-hours south of Denver and 40-minutes south of Colorado Springs. Situated on the eastern side of the Rocky Mountains, Pueblo is a safe city, with a lot of sunshine, a low cost of living and easy access to outdoor activities.

Students should arrive at the Colorado Springs Airport, or the Pueblo Municipal Airport, an easy connection through Denver.

Population - 125,000

HOUSING

Dormitory space (double rooms) is available on campus throughout the year. Unfortunately married student housing is not available on campus. Students are provided with sheets and pillowcases, exchanged weekly, at a cost of $16 per ALA session. Pillows, blankets, and towels, are not provided, but can be purchased for approximately $40.

Carefully selected homestays are available in the Pueblo community. Most host families supply bed linens and towels, in addition to a private furnished room. Homestays generally involve a commitment to spend time with the host family and participate in family activities.

Both furnished and unfurnished apartments are available in the local community. However, a car is often necessary for transportation. Students will be provided with a list of suggested apartments upon arrival. Likewise, apartments generally require a minimum stay of six months. Students also have the option of living in Walking Stick apartments right on the USC campus. Located next to one of the best public golf courses in Colorado, Walking Stick apartments offer students the independence of apartment life with all of the advantages of living on campus.

Unless reserved in advance, final housing placement is completed during the first week of the session. The completed "Housing Information" portion of the application form should be sent  in advance of the student's arrival.

MEALS

Students may eat in the University cafeteria. For dormitory students, the cafeteria plan includes 19 meals per week. During the academic year (August to May), La Cantina offers students an option to the cafeteria with a variety of foods from Pizza Hut, Dunkin' Donuts, and the Burger Grill.

In most homestays, two meals a day are eaten at home during the week: breakfast and dinner. On weekends and holidays, two meals per day are usually served at home (brunch and dinner). In some homestays, kitchen privileges are available and students may buy and prepare their own meals.

ACTIVITIES

Campus amenities include billiards, Ping-Pong, TV, a video arcade and an International Student Lounge. Dances, films, lectures, and fine arts programs are offered regularly. Outdoor programs such as hiking, camping, world-class skiing, and rock climbing are also offered by the University. Intramural sports are available during the academic year. Facilities include a championship golf course, swimming pool, tennis and racquetball courts, playing fields and gymnasium. Students are encouraged to participate in University as well as Language School activities. Equipment for outdoor activities can be rented from USC. Students are issued University ID cards which gives them University student privileges. Things to do and see include museums, music, dance, rodeo, fishing, camping, canoeing, whitewater rafting, and horseback riding, Pike's Peak, Royal Gorge, Pueblo Reservoir State Park, professional sports teams like the NFL Denver Broncos, the NBA Denver Nuggets, the MLB Colorado Rockies, and the NHL Colorado Avalanche.
